EPA Section 608 (ESCO Institute)

In-person only

Federal refrigerant handling certification required by the EPA Clean Air Act. It is illegal to purchase or handle refrigerants without this certification. Elevate is a nationally authorized proctor site for both ESCO Group and Mainstream Engineering. Required for any HVAC technician who services, maintains, or disposes of equipment containing refrigerants.

—CoreCovers EPA regulations, refrigerant safety, environmental impact of ozone-depleting substances, and proper handling procedures. Required as part of every certification type. Must pass Core to earn any Section 608 certificate.Pay

—Type I — Small AppliancesCovers equipment containing 5 lbs or less of refrigerant — window AC units, refrigerators, freezers, and dehumidifiers. Focuses on safe recovery techniques for sealed systems.Pay

OSHA Outreach Training

OSHA Outreach Training Program certifications issued through the U.S. Department of Labor. The OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 are the most widely recognized workplace safety credentials in the country. How Testing Works

Book Your Seat

Select your exam and preferred date. Pay the exam fee at booking to reserve your seat. By appointment only — walk-ins are not accepted.

Arrive Prepared

Arrive at least 15 minutes early. Government-issued photo ID required. No ID, no exam — no exceptions.

Take the Exam

All exams are proctored. No phones or outside materials unless explicitly permitted by the provider.

Receive Your Credential

Results and credentials are issued directly by the certifying body. Elevate records your outcome for your training record.
